Christian (non-Catholic) - Intermediate Baker's Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology
An excellent resource. Start out by searching for "Covenant." The following, Protestant tools, are also good resources, though a Catholic should be sure to consult the Catechism and the Catholic Encyclopedia, as well:
- Nave's Topical Bible
- Smith's Bible Dictionary

Catholic - Beginner Sunday Mass Readings
A valuable interpretative aide for seeing how specific passages of Scripture are used in the Church's liturgy. Often the way Old Testament and New Testament texts are associated in the liturgy suggest creative interpretative options and possibilities.

Catholic - Intermediate An E-Catena
From the Latin for "chains" or "links," this site threads together nearly 13,000 commentaries and allusions to virtually every verse of the New Testament by Church writers from the first four centuries after Christ.

Catholic - Intermediate The Catena Aurea of St. Thomas Aquinas
"The Golden Chain" is a series of passages from the Church fathers, woven together by the great Thomas to form a running commentary on the Gospels. A work in progress on the web, so far this on-line edition includes the Gospels of Matthew and Mark.
